From a geologic point of view, there are two predominant native material: derivatives from granite rocks and metamorphic rocks.
These formations make the dry lands from the region of Maule a unique terroir that shapes the imposing character of the wines. The land is haped in rolling hills and hills, but we can also find plateaus, piedmonts and intermontane vallies.
Granite origin soils have evolved in situ, directly from old granite rocks, well developed, with a high content of weathering. These soils are mainly located in the western slope of the Cost range.
